In honor of Columbus Day, I woke up on this day off from my regular job itching to finish a project. For those of you who know me, I’ve been a plethora of excuses for why I haven’t finished a furniture project lately…
For some time now I’ve had my eye on our downstairs, half bathroom. It is very bland and was just begging for a quick update.
When Justin bought our condo, every square inch of paintable space was the same beige, muted yellow. Over time, we’ve reclaimed walls here and there and added color. We’ve figured out in some of the bigger not-easily-paintable spaces that putting a coat of white paint on the trim changes the entire look. (The trim and ceilings are also this same color!)
I have always been inspired by the half bathroom that Sherry and John painted in their house. I followed their instructions on how to create stripes and recreated a similar look.
Now all we need are some accessories and perhaps some framed pictures.

Looks great, Kate!
Thanks, Robyn! It was hard work.
